Alex is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and counselling student at Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a specialization in Physician Assistant Studies from McMaster University. Alex has practical experience as a Physician Assistant in both family medicine and allergy & clinical immunology.
With her background in the medical field, Alex has had the privilege of working closely with individuals facing mental health challenges, gaining a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of mental and physical well-being. Her clinical experience inspired her to pursue psychotherapy as a way to take a more holistic, hands-on approach to mental health care. She is committed to helping others foster insight, growth, resilience, and self-compassion within a supportive and empathetic therapeutic relationship.
Alex practices from a non-judgmental and culturally-informed perspective. She specializes in addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, self-esteem, perfectionism, chronic illness, food allergy, and concussion or traumatic brain injury.
