Trust and fostering safety is one of Dakota's main priorities for her clients. This is a safe space to talk, to be the real you. Empathy is at the centre of the work we will do together to stop repeating the same cycles and expanding your skills to cope and end unhealthy or harmful patterns. All my work is person centered, with incorporation of humanistic psychology.
Dakota works with children (6 plus years), teens, adults who find themselves, or their child struggling with their day to day functioning. This can be expressed through anxiety, depression, disruption in the family, challenges at school. We will work together to change the story of you or your child's life, to be one that is filled with resiliency, joy and authenticity, with newly learned coping skills.
Dakota has over 6 years of experience in social services, serving children, teens, adults in the community struggling with mental health, housing, substance use, crisis and more.
She graduated from Western University, completing her honours Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Sociology. Dakota is currently completing her Master of Arts, in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She is currently one of our student clinicians, and is also a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
