Kaleigh is a dedicated Registered Social Worker who completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Guelph, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminology. Kaleigh began her career working with at-risk youth and incarcerated adults, which sparked her interest and passion for delivering therapeutic interventions that address the social, emotional, relational, behavioural, criminogenic, and psychological needs of individuals in order to treat presenting problems. To continue growing in that capacity, she returned to school and earned a Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Clinically, Kaleigh follows an eclectic framework informed and influenced strongly by Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She uses a strengths-based, client-centred, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed approach in treatment planning and providing optimal psychosocial care and psychoeducation.
She has experience in a variety of treatment settings including inpatient, residential, and outpatient where she practices clinical psychotherapy and supportive counselling. Further, Kaleigh has experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Her areas of speciality include depression and anxiety, addiction and substance abuse, trauma, self-worth, and relationship issues.
Kaleigh's commitment is to provide you with a safe, confidential, and supportive environment that emphasizes growth, development, and change. Her goal is to support clients in being able to overcome barriers in order to live full, healthy, and meaningful lives.
