She / Her
Sara completed her Bachelor of Social Work at Western University. She has the opportunity to complete two student placements: with YouthREX doing program evaluation and with St. Joseph's Hospital providing counseling services to individuals whose diagnosis was in question while connecting them with community resources. Upon graduating, Sara decided to pursue higher education and completed her Master of Social Work at Western University as well.
Sara has experience in working with individuals who are dealing with addiction, past traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, and supporting folks who are newcomers to Canada as they try to reintegrate into their life in Canada, as well as youth who are dealing with life and school stressors.
Sara's practice is influenced by Strength's Based Therapy and she uses a blend of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychoeducation in her work with individuals.
She believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to tap into their own strength and reach their potential to live a fulfilling life. Sara's goal in counselling sessions is to provide an environment of compassion and support to help individuals overcome any obstacles that may be hindering them to move forward and thrive.
