Zoey Hu is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who began her career as an international student that came to Canada at a young age and is now a first generation immigrant. Zoey understands the unique challenges that face individuals struggling to adapt to a new culture and country and is passionate about helping her clients by using a client-centred and anti-oppressive approach and her own lived experience.
She also specializes in supporting adolescents, people of colour, cross-cultural individuals, and adult children of immigrants. In addition, Zoey also enjoys working with families and parents to navigate relationship issues, parenting concerns and communication issues within the family system.
Zoey understands that life can be challenging at times, and she strives to create an empathetic and welcoming environment where she can support you through your journey and overcome difficult times.
Zoey uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, psychoeducation, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed approach to create an individualized treatment plan for her clients.
