Aidan’s passion for supporting the psychological wellbeing of others was ignited during his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at Western University. As a peer mentor, Aidan recognized the importance of mental wellness among his fellow students and consequently found himself driven to induce positive change. After his undergraduate degree, he began his career in mental health as a personal support worker for people with intellectual disabilities while simultaneously volunteering at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) on an emotional support hotline. During this time, Aidan found that his ability to effectively help others enhance their mental health was limited by the constraints of his roles, which led him to pursue a Masters of Psychology degree at Adler Professional Graduate School in Toronto.

Aidan has since become a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and has gained valuable experience working with young adults facing a wide array of mental health concerns, including challenges related to self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, interpersonal relationships, and substance abuse. In his role as a therapist, Aidan has had the pleasure of noticing a substantial improvement in his ability to help enhance the mental health of those he works with. He has also found that his therapy work is most effective when customized based on the needs of each individual client; as a result, he has developed a therapeutic style that is client-centred and combines a balance of emotion-focused and solution-focused methodologies. Aidan believes that a collaborative working relationship between client and therapist is crucial to therapy’s success, and he therefore focuses on developing a strong therapeutic rapport with his clients early on in the therapeutic process.

Aidan is dedicated to providing a safe and conducive space for people to explore their emotions and inner dialogue. He is confident in his ability to aid his clients on their journey of personal growth and to help them attain their own version of psychological wellbeing.
