CANCELLATION POLICY
At Anchoridge Counselling, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, will be subject to the full session fee.
Our therapists are self-employed professionals who reserve your appointment time exclusively for you. Because your appointment time is held specifically for you, late cancellations often prevent that time from being offered to another client who may be waiting for care.
Feeling Unwell?
If you are feeling unwell but are still able to participate in your session, we encourage you to switch your appointment to a secure virtual session whenever possible. This allows you to continue receiving the support you need while avoiding a late cancellation.
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected crises can occur. Exceptional circumstances may include:

A medical emergency

The death of an immediate family member

A natural disaster

Another serious and unforeseen emergency
These situations will be reviewed individually.
Planning Your Appointments
To help you get the most from your therapy sessions, we encourage you to schedule appointments at times when you can attend without work, transportation, or childcare conflicts whenever possible.
Thoughtful scheduling helps you make the most of your time in therapy while supporting consistent care and appointment availability for all clients.

REDUCED RATES & AFFORDABLE CARE
We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care. If you do not have extended health benefits or are experiencing financial barriers, we offer reduced-rate counselling options to help make support more accessible.
Student Clinicians
Our student clinicians provide affordable individual, couples, and family therapy under the direct supervision of Clinical Director Natasha Lavji and Clinical Supervisor Jennifer Aubrey.
While completing their graduate training, our student clinicians bring compassion, dedication, and evidence-based knowledge to every session. They work closely with their supervisors to ensure you receive safe, confidential, and high-quality care while feeling supported throughout your counselling journey.
Appointments are available both in person and virtually.
Anchored in Hope
The Anchored In Hope Program was created to provide short-term reduced-rate counselling for individuals who may be facing financial challenges or barriers to accessing care. Our goal is to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent individuals from accessing the care they deserve.
Please Note
This program is intended for individuals without extended health insurance or other financial means to access counselling services. Clients with extended health benefits are not eligible for this program.

We're pleased to offer direct billing with many extended health insurance providers across Ontario. Our administrative team is happy to help determine your eligibility and assist with setting up direct billing whenever possible.
If direct billing is unavailable through your insurance provider, you can still pay by credit card, debit card, or e-Transfer, and submit your receipt for reimbursement if your plan allows.

We can only direct bill insurance providers that participate in the TELUS Health eClaims network and are supported within our billing system.
