Carrie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and has a master’s in Counselling Psychology as
well as a Bachelor of Education.

Carrie has worked in elementary education and post-secondary education settings, and while she loved teaching, she most loved connecting and creating a safe and inclusive space for students.

She believes that everyone brings with them unique perspectives and lived experiences. Her goal is to provide you with a safe space to express yourself, while also facilitating growth in your insight, awareness, strength and self-compassion. She will listen compassionately and intently to your experiences and co-create a therapeutic plan that works for you. She will hold space for you, and gently push you when you feel you need that, and at times, will interject humour (when appropriate!).

Carrie works within a person-centered framework, and is trauma informed and culturally sensitive to all clients. She will often take a mixed modality approach, weaving together narrative therapy, somatic body work, CBT
(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy), mindfulness and self-compassion.

Carrie is passionate about working with individuals in times of transition and is particularly focused on helping women navigate feelings of overwhelm in relation to life transitions such as parenthood, postpartum depression, perinatal loss and grief, perimenopause and relationships. She also loves working with post-secondary students and teachers. If you are feeling like you could use some support Carrie would love to work with you. Carrie offers both in person and virtual sessions.
