Danielle is currently a student clinician. Danielle’s educational experience includes her Bachelor of Arts degree at Brock University with a major in Psychology and presently is in completion of her Master of Arts Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Danielle has developed a desire to help individuals take back of control of their life.
This passion was derived from her experience with children, adolescents, and adults within the developmental service sector, where she tracked their health/well being progression and used skill-based building techniques.
In addition, Danielle also worked to help incarcerated youth with mental health and well-being, by leading health awareness groups, to promote and foster individual growth. Danielle believes that the counselling relationship should be a collaborative process, and that the therapeutic alliance is essential to the success of therapy.
Danielle is very understanding that this process can create vulnerability and appreciates the strength it takes for individuals to express their difficulties. She prioritizes the importance of providing a safe and nurturing
environment where your thoughts, emotions, ideas, and difficulties can be shared.
Danielle’s own personal struggles have reinforced her desire to create an empowering environment.
Danielle looks through a strength-based approach. Working on positivity, and kindness to oneself, her goal is to cohesively work together to foster your individual strengths and instill a sense of purpose and empowerment within your life. Danielle strives to provide respect and empathy into the session to help you feel heard, and be comfortable with sessions.
