Veterans
Serving Kitchener-Waterloo, Milton, Oakville, London, and the surrounding areas, Anchoridge Counselling wants to help you find ways to understand and work with Veterans and their journey.

At Anchoridge Counselling Services, we recognize the strength and sacrifice of military veterans—and we also understand that returning to civilian life can bring its own set of emotional, psychological, and relational challenges. You don’t have to navigate them alone. Our dedicated therapists are here to support you with compassion, understanding, and specialized care.
The Veteran Experience
Military service can have long-lasting effects on mental health. Veterans may face a unique mix of challenges, including:
1. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
2. Depression and anxiety
3. Moral injury or survivor’s guilt
4. Sleep disturbances and hypervigilance
5. Chronic stress or anger
6. Substance use concerns
7. Difficulty transitioning to civilian life
8. Struggles with identity, purpose, or relationships
These issues are real—and valid. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
