Allie is a calm, thoughtful, and client-centered therapist who brings both warmth and professionalism to her work. She holds a Master’s in Social Work, a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Psychology, and a graduate certificate in Mental Health and Disability Management.
Allie’s experience spans both individual (micro) and system-level (macro) social work, giving her a unique understanding of the broader challenges that can affect mental health and wellbeing. Her work in community mental health settings, including hospitals and intensive treatment programs, has equipped her to support youth, adolescents, and their caregivers through crisis management, community resource navigation, parent coaching, and goal-oriented therapy.
Allie’s approach to sessions, is rooted in her desire to create a space that feels safe, grounding, and truly supportive. She knows how important it is to feel heard and understood, and she works to build a strong, trusting relationship with each person she supports. In this space, clients are invited to slow down, reflect, and explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. She partners with clients to build self-awareness, reflect on their relationships and experiences, and recognize and strengthen their inner resources. Allie asks thoughtful, intentional questions that aim to understand the complexities of each person’s unique journey.
Working from a trauma-informed, client-led perspective, Allie integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities to meet her clients' goals. At the core of her practice is the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) framework, which supports her understanding of child development, traumatic stress, attachment dynamics, and resilience. She incorporates interventions from:
• Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
• Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT, including EFT-Y for youth)
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Circle of Security Parenting (COSP)
These are thoughtfully applied in collaboration with the ARC model to foster resilience and support positive change.
Allie is deeply passionate about supporting youth, adolescents, and their caregiving systems especially those navigating the effects of complex trauma. She offers a warm, welcoming environment where families can strengthen their relationships, build emotional resilience, and learn new ways to connect and communicate. She also places great importance on helping adults and young people develop tools to identify, understand, tolerate, and manage their inner experiences.
Whether this is your first time reaching out for support or you’ve been searching for the right fit, Allie understands how much courage it takes to be vulnerable in therapy. She’s here to meet you where you are whether you’re navigating parenting challenges, exploring your wellbeing, feeling overwhelmed, or simply needing someone to talk to.
Allie offers both in-person and virtual sessions to make support as accessible as possible. If you’re looking for a therapist who will walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and care, Allie would be honored to support you on your journey.
