Shayna is a compassionate social worker student currently completing her master’s in social work (MSW) at Wilfrid Laurier University. She brings experience in both municipal services and a violence against women shelter, where she has supported individuals navigating trauma, crisis, and systemic barriers.
Shayna practices from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centered lens. She is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move at their own pace.
She believes healing happens in connection and that each person’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, identity, and broader social context. Shayna works alongside clients to build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and reconnect with their values and resilience.
Shayna has a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating body image concerns, disordered eating, and the emotional impact of self-esteem and identity struggles. She also works with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, burnout, and gender-based violence, as well as those moving through complex life transitions. She strives to meet clients where they are and support them in their process of healing and growth.
