Sheila understands the complexities of relationships, transitions, decision-making, meeting personal, family, and professional goals, and dealing with the unexpected while striving to maintain an overall sense of good health and wellbeing. Sheila has a passion for an aligned healthy connection to people and the environment that encompasses mind, body, and spirit. 


Sheila’s helping career spans several decades and includes supported living with adults with an acquired brain injury and adults with developmental disabilities. She has assisted with life skills and behavioural coaching. She has tutored and mentored students studying English as a Second Language and at-risk youth and adults pursuing academic upgrading for post-secondary education and employment. She has counselled a diverse clientele including LGBTQ2+ and newcomers to Canada with regard to career pathway, employment goals, and job retention. 


Sheila enjoys meaningful conversations about the vast mysteries of life, faith, dreams, and self-discovery. Her commitment is to offer an authentic, compassionate space for mindfully and lovingly exploring mental, emotional, physical and spiritual experiences for awareness. Sheila understands that a safe, trustworthy, collaborative relationship empowers her clients to cultivate a deep love and respect for themselves.

She has a depth of professional and lived experience that has carried her into the field of psychotherapy. She holds a Joint Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Psychology and is currently completing her Masters of Arts Counselling Psychology. 

Sheila's approach to counselling comes from a trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and socially just lens. 


Sheila is personally interested in an embodied approach to psychotherapy. She believes that clients are the expert in their own unique experience and she endeavours to honour each client through collaborative, active participation to foster a more present-focused, embodied, and connected experience of self. 



Sheila has over 400 hours of yoga teacher training, and she continues to study movement and healing.
